The Geoenvironmental Research Park (GRP), an all-Wales research and development facility, has been established in South Wales. The GRP is part funded by ERDF West Wales and the Valleys, Objective 1 Programme 2000 - 2006.
The GRP project is being lead by the Cardiff School of Engineering's Geoenvironmental Research Centre (GRC), and involves a number of local, national and international organisations who work in the broad field of land regeneration and sustainability.
The GRP is involved in programmes of research, application, and development for problems dealing with environmental suitability, and through R&D replicates conditions to enabled sustainability solutions to existing problems to be addressed.
The GRP will continue to beused for undertaking a range of geoenvironmental field experiments at the front line of research, as well continue to create high tech companies working in the broad fields of Environment and Sustainability.
